Senior Commercial Underwriter

My client, an internationally recognized and respected MGA, is experiencing rapid growth in Canada. With significant expansion plans in Western Canada, we are sourcing for key positions to drive business growth in commercial property and casualty. We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Property and Casualty Commercial Insurance Underwriter to join their Western Canadian teams. We are looking for ambitious, production-focused underwriters who have established relationships with local and national brokers and have a proven track record of success in business growth. We are seeking dynamic, driven underwriters in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton, who are ready to take their career to the next level.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• CIP, FCIP or equivalent industry experience
• Well-connected among Broker community in the region
• 5+ years of Commercial Underwriting Insurance experience
• Proven experience in successfully growing business through Broker channels
• Strong underwriting expertise is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Strong knowledge of domestic and international Commercial markets

Compensation Package

• Competitive base compensation (depending on experience $75-$110K salary +) & opportunities to participate in highly lucrative sales incentive bonus plan
